Buffalo Chicken
Entertain your guest with Buffalo Grilled Chicken.This is one of my favorite recipes great for tailgate and Superbowl parties. In this video I'll demonstrate how to prepare the chicken and grill it to perfection. Select "Show More" below for the recipe.
Ingredients:
- 1-2 pounds chicken breast (boneless/skinless)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons Creole-style seasoning
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon ground cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Buffalo Sauce:
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 1/2 tablespoons butter
- 6 ounces hot pepper sauce (1⁄2cup Louisiana hot sauce or 1⁄2cup Frank's red hot sauce)
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
Directions:
- Clean chicken breast, removing any fat or skin from the meat
- slice chicken breast into bite sized cubes
- In a large re-sealable plastic bag, combine the flour, Creole-style seasoning, garlic powder, ground cayenne pepper, onion powder, and ground black pepper. Seal the bag and shake a few times to combine the ingredients well.
- Rinse the chicken under cold water and place them in the plastic bag with the flour mixture. Seal the bag and shake to coat all of the chicken well with the flour mixture.
- Place the coated chicken on a cookie sheet and place in the refrigerator for 15 to 20 minutes. Save remaining flour mixture in the bag.
- Preheat grill to 375 degrees.
- Carefully oil the grates with a paper towel dabbed in vegetable oil.
- In a bowl, whisk together garlic, butter hot sauce, paprika, black pepper and cayenne pepper place into pot cover and keep warm over low heat.
- Remove chicken from refrigerator and shake a second time in flour mixture.
- Place the chicken directly over the heat on the grill, close the lid only if using a gas grill, turning once, until just cooked through, 7 to 8 minutes total.
- Add chicken to bowl and toss immediately with buffalo sauce until coated.
- Serve chicken with Ranch or Blue Cheese dressing and celery.
